Buttonless lifts...

...known as destination elevators, are springing up in new buildings all over the world, promising to speed rides and reduce waiting time.

Here is how it works: As you approach the bank of elevators, you first have to push the buttons to enter your desired floor and then you are directed to wait by a specific elevator door.



...Once inside you don't have to do anything else but wait till you get to your destination. And of course, there are no floor buttons...



Will this be the future of elevators? the goal of this new kind of system is to make busy buildings more efficient but a procedure so interiorized like catching an elevator may be hard to change.
